Spending Christmas at Home

Spending Christmas at Home

The majority of the interior has been cut and folded, shaped or glued from designs on a selection of old bank notes from around the world. From the bricks on the wall to the curtains in the window, the fire surround and the rug on the floor. Even the Christmas tree. But not the floor: that is walnut wood, the hearth is real slate and the star for the top of the Christmas tree is 9ct gold.

The front of the purse reveals a neat garden leading you past the model reindeer, to a smart frontage with steps leading up to a door with a traditional Christmas wreath. Inside a warm and welcoming living room with ornate wall paper and shiny wooden floors, welcomes you in to sit by the fire. Or help lend a hand decorating the Christmas tree.

Behind the small clasp is a secret room: a vestibule that contains the gifts, to be wrapped and placed under the tree on Christmas Eve.
